Quest3D competition roundup

August 6, 2008 | 1 comment »

Now that the competition is closed I’d thought a roundup of some of the entries is in place. Below are actually just the demos and products from the Quest3D forum, however (and believe me) there are more entries with equal visual quality on the Quest3d ftp server.

If you also want to showcase your work here, just post it on the Quest3D forum (I’ll pick it up from there) or let me know through the comments. And in case I missed one on the forum please leave a comment with the details.

I have multiple versions of Quest installed. You have to install the version you want to export to last, so that the registry points to the right version I suppose.

First off, some videos of various Quest3D project we found on YouTube. No need to download the big DVD from the Quest3D website… but, unfortunately, these aren’t as detailed. These were uploaded by our East-European colleges at http://quest3d.pl/ .

Qumulus 1.1 released

October 19, 2006 | 1 comment »

This new release now comes with a developer’s Manual, Super Sets, over a hundred templates, several Skydome types and improved support for reflections.

Of interest is also the rumour that there might be some kind of channelgroup protection system in the next release of Quest3D. This protection system allows channelgroup hiding which enables Quest3D users to create and sell modules like Qumulus.
